| The Season 5 premiere of "Top Chef" airs again at 8 tonight on Bravo before a new episode at 9. I failed to mention the return of "Top Chef" last week, so I'll let you know now that the Season 5 premiere of one of television's most mouthwatering programs re-airs at 8 tonight on Bravo, followed at 9 by the debut of the second episode. In today's column, I focus on a few of the highlights of the St. Louis International Film Festival, which gets under way tonight. Meanwhile, we have our own gala here in Columbia this weekend, as the new Bluebird Music and Arts Festival takes over town. The event loses a little juice with The Redwalls no longer involved, so acts such as Atmosphere, Big Smith and Ha Ha Tonka will have to do some heavy lifting to make the weekend a success. Chris Boeckmann has all the details you'll need here, here and here. Now for a couple items I didn't get to in the paper: ? The eMusic Selects program — in which the Web's best indie MP3 retail destination exposes us to its favorite unsigned bands — recently unearthed what is likely its brightest gem yet in The Rural Alberta Advantage. I'm completely hooked. And, no, the Neutral Milk Hotel and Arcade Fire comparisons are not really so outrageous. That this Toronto band — with a number of stellar songs off 2008 debut LP "Hometowns" having first appeared on its self-titled 2006 EP — has flown under the radar is further evidence that, even in this era of oversaturation and überexposure, brilliance can still slip through the cracks. Here are two MP3s, and a couple more tracks off "Hometowns" can be heard on the RAA's MySpace page: MP3: "Frank, AB," The Rural Alberta Advantage MP3: "Don't Haunt This Place," The Rural Alberta Advantage ? And for all of you "Lost" fans out there, in case you haven't yet heard, the new season begins Jan. 21.
