Woman arrested for animal cruelty; dog recovering

NORFOLK - An 11-month-old German shepherd mix puppy named Buddy, who authorities said was beaten with a baseball bat two weeks ago, is on the road to recovery, and was expected this week to be given over to the care of the town’s animal control officer for the foreseeable future.
