Well, I obviously failed in my goal of daily advent posting. I could arouse sympathy by explaining that I had finals and was just too darn busy, which is partially correct, yet I still had ample time to write at least a little everyday. I just decided not too. The advent readings I chose proved difficult to organize my thoughts on, and I was simply unwilling to rise to the occasion.
I am all talk and no walk, and I suffer from a chronic unwillingness to pull through.
My lack of stick-to-itiveness has got me a little worried about what lies ahead. If I can't keep to my word on this piddle and sh...eh...stuff, than what kind of husband or father will I be? Hmmmmm....Do these little moral failures translate into bigger ones? I certainly hope not.
On the other hand, I don't enjoy taking a snippet of scripture and trying to squeeze coherent addative thoughtful posts out of it. I feel quite unprepared to rise up to the task. The first post proved very difficult for me because it kept unlocking levels and levels of meaning, until I was drowning in ideas. So I'm gonna leave the scriptural commentaries to those that have the merit and cojones to align their thoughts with the divinely inspired and publish them together. From now on I'll just espouse my thoughts and carry on my devotionals in private. Or at least try too, anyway. I shouldn't be committing to any ultimatums.
