Do you think you could steal someone's identity with this information?

#Your full name:
#Your full home address,
#Your age,
#Occupation,
#Previous working Experience,
#Marital status,
#Direct contact telephone number,
#State,
#City,
#ZipCode,

Someone's asking me for it in regards to a job I saw on Craig'sList and I'm not sure if I should give it to him. I'm still wary that it might be a scam. Any educated opinions, please?

If you've got a preschooler, check out the production at The Children's Theatre Company.  It's a very touching story that provides just the right amount of interaction for the little ones and has just the right amount of maturity to keep the adults entertained.  It's playing a gazillion times from now until the end of December.

It's a great way to start introducing your little one to the arts and theatre.

What restaurants are open on Thanksgiving Day and will be serving a "traditional" Thanksgiving option?

A couple of years ago I ended up wandering around past closed restaurant after closed restaurant, and I'd rather not do that again....

Thanks!

Does anyone know ANYWHERE in the Twin Cities I can purchase sugar free ginger snaps? Or, if you know of a place on the web I can order them, I'd even do that!

Anyone know of a place that someone with not-quite-perfect at the moment credit can get a decent car that has the following attributes?

* Starts no matter how cold it is outside
* Has decent gas mileage (more than 150 miles per tank)
* Had obnoxious heat capabilities interior-wise--I like to be toasty

I've tried the Craigslist route and was burned horribly on my last attempt. Even after a day of being at the shop yesterday, it still lacks all three of my defining qualities. Someone help a sistah out with a car that's reasonably priced and not a lemon?! PLEASE!!

According to the local paper, there's a guy going around NE Mpls asking for money - door to door.

He just stopped by my door. (After 10:30 PM!)

We called the police. *sigh* (I hate this kind of thing.)

He asked for money to get his car out of the impound lot. FYI

We live near the old Holland School. Kinda near Logan Park. Folks in the neighborhood might want to keep an eye out.

This is sort of random, but a friend of a friend once mentioned to me that there is a Mc Donalds in Burnsville that is like sit down, in the sense that they bring the food to you. Being the loser that I am, I really would like to see such a thing if it exists. However, I am unable to find anything about it anywhere. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing and if so do you know where the hell it is??

Thanks!

Hey Everyone,

I am thinking about fostering a dog. I was wondering if anyone has done this, how it went, and what organizations they went through?

I love animals but am not in a position to make a years long commitment so this seems like a great option.

A friend of mine is trying to rent out a room in his townhouse - here's the CL ad: (link)

Basics:
1BR in a furnished house in Burnsville
$450/month including ALL utilities (month-to-month)
He has a dog and cat, both of which are fantastic and well-behaved.
He's pretty cool and laid back, but he really sucks at MarioKart. Just to warn you.

Comment here and I'll pass it along or email him at meotto at gmail.

Saturday, November 10th  - WORLD ART CAR DAY

look for (and draw on) my artcar in the parade.
2007-11-05 14:14:11
I am wondering if anyone has recommendations for somewhere I can get my car fixed reliably but affordably. Often an oxymoron, I know. I am open to a regular shop, and I am also open to an individual who really knows what they are doing and can provide references, and maybe would like some extra holiday money or something.

What they need to know is that we have a SUZUKI (a lot of people don't know what they are doing there) Esteem wagon, 1999 - and what we know right now is that we need the control arm replaced, and possibly work on the left side suspension and struts. Potholes, ugh.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

Anyone know of any free/reasonably priced gym time? Minneapolis or the surrounding suburbs, please. $60/month for Lifetime or whathaveyou is a little pricey for me. I know about Kennedy High School in Bloomington ($7/visit for non-Bloomington residents), but any other suggestions would be appreciated as well. Basketball courts and a walking path/track are high on the list of awesome.

My husband and I need to pick up a boat in Appleton, Wisconsin this upcoming weekend but unfortunately our new Trail Blaizer isn't big enough to haul it.

Does anyone know where you can rent the following:
"1 ton pick up truck with 450 chassis class 4 receiver hitch"

We've called U-Haul, Enterprize, Ryder, Boyer Ford, Budget, and Penske, but so far no luck with any of them.

Any ideas?

Molecule Ethanol, aka Caveman, has been running an open stage for the past few weeks at the St Paul Eagles Club. The music mostly leans toward old country music, so if you enjoy that type of music, or want to jam in Saint Paul, stop on down!

The open stage is this Sunday and every Sunday from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Saint Paul Eagles Club which is located on Maria and east 3rd Street. (just east of downtown) I believe the address is actually 287 Maria. You will need to push the doorbell at the inside door to be let in as it is a club, though open to the public for the open stage.

Tonight Only! Tonight Only! Tonight Only! Tonight Only!

Mention to Caveman that you saw this posting in the live journal and he'll buy you one drink.

Don't delete this...it's a new class offering!

The location can't be beat: this 1.5-hour workshop takes place at Kingman Studios in NE. If you haven't been there before, you're in for a treat. Pop-can art, bronze sculptures that feel fluid and alive, creativity fills this amazing space.

Saturday, Nov 3, from 11am-12:30pm. Very small-sized class, aimed at beginners. Cost is $30, and I provide the hoops. 3 spots open.

ok, I won't bug you again for a while. ;)

I'm looking for a great Friday Night Fish Fry in the metro area. I know, I know - I'd have better luck in Wisconsin. But there's got to be a few good ones here.

Can anyone recommend AFFORDABLE prenatal, natal, and post-natal care in the MPLS area? $40 for a urine test at a clinic is a little steep for my blood, especially since I already took a $10 version at home and I KNOW I'm pregnant.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of stores/groceries/etc that may carry some British or UK dessert/food delights. I'm specifically looking for Mr Kipling Bramley Apple Pies...I know they can be bought over teh internets, but was hoping to get some more immediate gratification...

Thanks!

When: Tuesdays, 7-8pm
Where: Sunroom of Center for Creative Arts
What: Slow-flow beginner hatha yoga class
Cost: $72 for 6-week session, or $15 to drop-in

Here are the dates for the classes:

November 6, 13, 20,
Dec 4, 11, 18

The Center is at the corner of 38th and Pleasant, 3754 Pleasant Ave Minneapolis, MN 55409.

I'm a certified ashtanga yoga teacher with 4 years' teaching experience. This flow moves slowly, emphasizing breathing, posture, lengthening of muscles and ligaments, and union of mind-body-breath, leading to a quiet mind and inner peacefulness. Watch your flexibility, strength, and balance improve, and learn to feel centered and calm.

I scoffed a bit at the idea of yoga 6 years ago. I had an image of what it would look and feel like, and it didn't interest me. After the first class, I was amazed, and I find it hard to imagine not having it be a regular part of my life. It's undeniably powerful and feels incredible, and it's a joy to share it.

Wear comfy clothes, bring a mat (or email me if you need to borrow one, and I'll bring extras), and invest an hour in your well-being.

H.R. 1955
The U.S. House of Representatives recently passed HR 1955 titled the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. This bill is one of the most blatant attacks against the Constitution yet and actually defines thought crimes as homegrown terrorism. The Bill passed 404-6.

This Bill criminalizes any act of, or promotion of, anything the Government interprets to be "radical" or "extremist." This may include Animal Rights, Environmentalism, Socialism, Labor Organizing, anything that may upset the status quo, hell anything that may upset a politician. And that's the scary thing here; it's entirely up to State interpretation.

Don't let this Bill pass the senate! Call your Congressperson, tell them you are NOT HAPPY with their vote. Call your Senators, tell them that if they wish to keep their jobs, they had better NOT SUPPORT this bill. Use every means available to you. Phone Calls, Letter Writings, Public Demonstration, Firebombings. Don't Let this Bill Pass. Talk to your friends, CoWorkers, talk to your Parents, your Professors, your Teachers. Talk to EVERYONE.

Educate. Organize. Mobilize. Make It Happen.
